The flame thrower for repairing tarred road surfaces, has a tube with a handgrip at its end with a trigger for operating a control valve. Connected by a branch connection to this tube is a second tube with a second handle at its far end. This first tube is the gas supply tube and has an ignition tube passing through its centre, which extends sideways through a connecting section, inside a distributor clock carrying the flame head. Alongside the main gas channel inside the block is in line with the control axis of the head. This channel terminates in an outer block with supply and return connections at the sides for the ends of a coil inside the mouth of the head, and with a jet nozzle at its front outlet. Alongside is the ignition jet nozzle.
