The method of continuously in putting braille text into an electronic memory enables the elimination of delays high hither to experience because of the organization of the data recording and output by lines and pages. The braille text is initially written into a preliminary memory of small storage capacity where it is corrected as necessary. Each character is followed by a blank. When the preliminary memory is full its contents are automatically transferred word for word into a line by line organized main memory. The transfer is performed so as to prevent word fragmentation. Storage locations remaining at the end of each main memory line are filled with blanks. When the main memory is full, its contents are transferred to a further memory for further use and the page counter incremented.
|
