Glass ceramic electric cooking hob - has each heating element held against cooking plate by leaf spring on plate on dished frame

The electric hob with a large area glass ceramic cooking plate has each heating element held in contact with its underside by a leaf spring. This is concave in shape and is located on a plate suspended under the well of a flanged frame mounted in an opening in the working surface. The frame has a shallower upper well in which the cooking plate is mounted, with adhesive around its edge. The centre of the spring has a lug which locates in a depression in the middle of the carrier plate, its ends are bent up to fit into locating grooves in the lower corners of the heating element. An intermediate lug fits into a hole in the carrier plate. This plate is partly retained by a support at one end secured by screws.
