Road traffic beacon - made of polyurethane foam with base of cast resin and quartz powder filler

A road traffic warning beacon consists of a square baseplate of cast polyurethane and ground quartz. The rectangular upright part is made of polyurethane foam of generally flat rectangular cross-section except the two widened ends where tubes are embedded to join the upright part to the base. The flashing light cell is snapped into a ring at the very top of the beacon. The widened ends also have slits into which a board with a traffic symbol can be inserted. The preferred quartz/plastic ratio is 1 : 0.15. This beacon is easier to produce and can be used more universally than that described in the Parent Patent No. 2817531.
