The pilot-controlled safety valve comprises a valve housing, a discharge union. A guided plate forms the main valve whose movement is controlled by an auxiliary one. The valve plate (2) is accommodated in the closed valve housing and is piston-shaped, while the inlet to the discharge union (3) is in the housing (1) and below the plate. This inlet can be parallel to the axis of the valve housing, after which the union is taken out through the housing wall at right angles to this axis.
