PURPOSE:To enable process annealing to be omitted by heating a hot rolled strip of Al-contg. stainless steel to a predetermined temp. range followed by predetermined slow cooling, rapid cooling, cold rolling and recrystallization annealing. CONSTITUTION:A hot rolled strip of Al-contg. ferrite stainless steel is heated to 950-1,100 deg.C followed by slow cooling to 700-900 deg.C at an average colling rate of 1 deg.C/sec or less, rapid cooling to 200 deg.C or below at an average cooling rate of 10 deg.C/ sec or more, cold rolling to the thickness of a product sheet, and recrystallization annealing. Thus, process annealing is omitted, and using 1CR deep drawability and anti-ridging properties equal or superior to those of conventional 2CR material can be obtd. |
