A yarn texturing device effects crimping on a multifilament yarn by bouncing or rebound, using a heated fluid, such as steam under pressure. The rebound crimper head receives the yarn and texturises it with the aid of the steam fed through the pipe. The crimped yarn passes to a constriction tube contg. a blade spring. The constriction tube is straight and short, and the yarn leaves by the exit at its far end to be collected. By maintaining the constriction tube straight and short, the collection of chemical deposit or foreign matter is discouraged so that there is less likelihood of uneven crimping than in prior art. By mounting the blade-spring inside the constriction tube, protection is offered against external shock or damage.
