PURPOSE:To prevent mixing-in of dust and bacteria as well as vaporization of the humidity of ink and solvent by a method wherein a spherical stopper composed of a metal sphere and a permanent magnet capable of being opened and closed is provided in an ink-collecting gutter and closed when printing is not conducted. CONSTITUTION:In an ink-collecting gutter 7 is provided a spherical stopper consisting of a permanent magnet 20 with a throat for passing the collected ink and a metal sphere 21. When printing is not conducted, the throat is blocked by the metal sphere 21 attracted by the magnet 20, thereby the mixing of the exterior dust, bacteria and the like in an ink tank 10 through an ink-collecting pipe 9 being prevented. When the printing is conducted, the metal sphere 21 is attracted by an electromagnet 22 to make the throat of the permanent magnet 20 open, through which unrequired ink is collected. |
