PURPOSE:To stabilize the jet characteristic of ink from a nozzle and extend the range of working frequency by inserting a pin in a specified state into an ink channel inside an electromechanical transducing element. CONSTITUTION:The stabilized jet characteristic is obtainable and moreover the use in a wide range of frequency is available when the relation of l/L<=0.5 is realized under the condition of 0.6<=d/D<=0.8, where the inner diameter of an electro- mechanical transducing element 3 is D, the length thereof, L, the outer diameter of a pin 5, d, and the distance between the tip of the pin 5 and that of the element 3, l. This is related mainly to the pressure loss at the point A on the surface of the tip of the pin 5 and the point (the point B) between the side of pin 5 and the inner surface of the element 5 and to the fluidity of ink at the point B when the element 3 is returned (expanded) to the original form, while the frequency employable being set by the pressure loss. |
