A check valve mount block for a fire extinguisher is provided to facilitate the assembly of a check valve between head and tank of the fire extinguisher, and thus to fill the tank with liquid and compressed air conveniently and repeatedly without necessarily disassembling the head. A fire extinguisher(30) includes a head(13), a tank(11), and a block(32) mounted with a check valve(31) removably formed in communication with an internal passage. The block has a hollow body to form a passage, and a fastening hole into which a screw of the check valve is fastened is formed in communication with the passage. A first thread is formed at the inner contour face of the body to enable fastening of the head, and a second thread is formed at the outer contour face of the body to be fastened to the tank. A water seal is inserted into the joint between the head and the block and the joint between the block and the tank. Preferably, the head and the block are fixed to each other with an adhesive.
