<p>PURPOSE:To stably obtain a superior image of high density with an electrostatic recording body in high speed facsimile or other use even under a low humidity atmosphere by providing the body with an electroconductive layer contg. ZnO powder having a specified specific resistance and two coloring substances each having spectral reflectivity in a specified wavelength range. CONSTITUTION:The electrically conductive layer of an electrostatic recording body having a recording layer based on insulating resin on an electrically conductive support is formed by coating one side of a substrate such as high quality paper with a dispersion contg. 100pts.wt. of ZnO powder having a specific resistance of 0.01- 900OMEGA.cm under a pressure of 150kg/cm<2>, 0.0001-0.03 part of a coloring substance having spectral reflectivity in 400-530nm, and 0.0001-0.03 part of a coloring substance having spectral reflectivity in 580-800nm, followed by drying. On this conductive layer an insulating layer made of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer or the like is formed. The resulting recording body is excellent in natural color, especially whiteness degree and gives a recorded image of high density and contrast.</p> |
