PURPOSE:To obtain the same quantity of deflection even if the weight of an ink drip changes and also facilitate the multiplication of a nozzle by inputting a driving signal delayed according to the weight of the ink drip to be formed in an ink-jet head. CONSTITUTION:Being synchronized with an indented wave (b) modulated, an electric signal (c) designating the weight of an ink drip is outputted from a signal generator 8 and inputted to a piezo electric vibrator 2, being delayed in a delay circuit 9 so that the value of the quantity of delay (alpha+pulse width) be in proportion to the weight of the ink drip. The ink drip is charged so as for the ratio (k) of the quantity of charge (q) of ink drip to the weight (m) thereof to be definite to the value of the same quantity of deflection and for the quantity of deflection to be proportional to the value of (k), and is deflected at a deflection electrode 10 to which a fixed voltage has been impressed. Given that the value of (k) is the same, the weight of the ink drip differs, while the quantity of deflection becomes equal, thereby the half-tone recording being possible. The method is favorable for multiplication of a nozzle, since the voltage given to a charged electrode 5 can be made common to each nozzle. |
