PURPOSE:To enable economical utilization of a developing solution and to enhance the quality of a PS (presensitized) plate processed, by passing the PS plate successively through the firt and second developing baths, replenishing the second bath with a fresh developing solution, and sending the fatigued developing solution of the second bath to the first bath. CONSTITUTION:The PS plate is sent in the direction of arrow A using conveying rollers 4, spit rollers 5, brush rollers 6, receiving rollers 7, and squeezing rollers 8 to develop and subject to gum processing. The developing solution is supplied from storage tank 21 to second developing bath 2 with pump 20 by a proper amount, and valve 19 is opened to send the developing solution to the first developing bath 1 with pump 18 by a proper amount. Then, developing is started by adding developing solutions and gum processing solution with recirculating pumps 12, 14, 16 through shower pipes 9, 10, 11, respectively. When the developing solution in bath 1 approaches the limit of processing performance, a fresh developing solution is reprenished to bath 2, the solution in bath 2 is sent to bath 1 through overflow nozzle 24, and the solution in bath 1 is sent to recovery tank 23 through overflow nozzle 25. |
