PURPOSE:To obtain a rotation detector equipped with two kinds of rotation detecting functions by constructing a number of revolutions detecting circuit so that it is possible to obtain an output having a fixed relationship with the rotation regardless of the change in the number of revolutions and an output proportional to the rotation. CONSTITUTION:An arbitrary number of deep grooves 3 are provided on number of revolutions detecting gear 2. Between each pair of grooves 3 the same number of shallow grooves 4 are provided. Signal P0, which is outputted from rotation pickup 5 by the rotation of number of revolutions detecting gear 2, increases its amplitude each time deep groove 3 approaches, and it is inputted to the reset terminal of counter 11 as square waveform wave P5. On the other hand, signal P0 is inputted to the input terminal of counter 11 as square wave P7. Counter 11 outputs signal P8 in which the time ration between the high level and the low level is fixed, regardless of the period of the input pulse, and it is inputted to the member to be controlled as inverted signal P0. Further, output P0 of comparator 12 is inputted to the member to be controlled and using an output proportional to the number of revolutions. |
