<p>PURPOSE:To permit an accurate attachment of a label to a container, without using any adhesive agent or solvent, by forming continuous or discontinuous raised or depressed portions on the peripheral surface of the container to prevent the removal of a sleeve-like label from the container after heat shrinkage. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of depressed portions 2b or raised portions 3a are formed on the peripheral surface of a container 3 at a predetermined interval. When a container 2 or 3 is placed in a heating furnace with a label 1 pressed thereagainst for heat shrinkage, the label 1 is shrunk in such manner that the portions thereof enter into the depressed portions 2b formed on the peripheral surface of the container 2 or enclose the raised portions 3a formed on the peripheral surface of the container 3. Therefore, the label can be accurately wound around the container and, in cases where the container is rejected as a defective product, the label can be removed easily from the container for recovery.</p> |
