This invention provides a thermostatically controlled radiator valve in which fluid inlet and outlet ports 10, 11 are capable of being isolated by means of a flexible diaphragm 13 and in which the diaphragm is arranged to move rapidly from a fully opened to a fully closed position or vice versa when a small pressure differential exists across the diaphragm. The valve is also provided with a pilot valve arrangement 20 operable by a temperature sensor such that when the temperature falls below a pre-determined level the pilot valve is caused to open to create the pressure differential and result in opening movement of the diaphragm.
