<p>PURPOSE:A heat-generating agent having improved warm-up time, heat duration, temperature control, heat capacity and storage stability, prepared by adding a wettability controlling agent to a heat-generating agent. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-generating agent comprising a substrate consisting essentially of metallic powder such as iron powder, ferrosilicon powder or aluminum powder; a water-retentive oxidizing agent such as active carbon, fiber powder or zeolite; and an oxidation accelerator such as a halogen salt, sulfide or peroxide; the substrate is blended with a hydrophobic surfactant as the wettability controlling agent to impart water repellency, or the oxidizing agent is blended with a hydrophilic surfactant as the wetting agent. Thereby, it becomes possible to modify properties and forms such as warm-up time, heat duration, temperature level, storage stability, and sheeting of the heat-generating agent.</p> |
