<p>PURPOSE:To improve feed performance of a sheet eliminated in its double feed and improper feed by providing an urging force changing means which enables urging force of an urging means to be timely changed being based on mounting the sheet to a cassette. CONSTITUTION:In case of a cassette C storing a sheet (f) of large size, because all the pressurizing plates 5', 5'', 5''' are placed in an opening part (b), large force, summing urging force of these pressurizing plates, urges an intermediate plate 7 to the upper. In this way, urging force by a pressurizing spring 6 is prevented from being offset by weight of the sheet (f) of large size, accordingly the sheet (f) on the intermediate plate 7 is forced to come into press contact with a paper feed roller 1 by proper press contact force. While in case of the cassette C storing a sheet (f) of small size, because only the pressurizing plate 5'', corresponding to an opening part (a) of the cassette, is placed in the opening part (a), only the urging force of the pressurizing plate 5'' acts on the sheet of small size in light weight, thus the sheet (f) is prevented from being forced to come into contact by excessive force with the paper feed roller 1.</p> |
