PURPOSE:To obtain title slide material having good wear resistance, heat resistance and bonding properties to metal, by a method wherein the surface of backing metal is clad with a compsn. consisting of a thermosetting polyimide resin, a tetrafluoroethylene resin, a lubricant and a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:The surface of backing metal is coated with a porous sintered metal layer having a thickness of 0.15-0.40mm or a synthetic resin primer layer having a thickness of 0.005-0.030mm. On the coated surface of the backing metal is spread a powdered resin compsn. consisting of (A) 4-25wt% of a thermosetting polyimide resin, (B) 5-15wt% of a powdered tetrafluoroethylene resin, (C) 2- 15wt% of a lubricant such as mineral oil, animal oil, vegetable oil, or silicone oil, and (D) the balance of a thermoplastic resin having a molding temp. of 200- 280 deg.C such as a polyacetal resin or a polyamide resin. Then the resin is heated and molten, and thus the surface of the backing metal is clad throughout with the resin layer. |
