PURPOSE:To prevent the divergence of color due to vibration by providing two kinds of elastomers absorbing bad influences on picture tube, e.g., the resonance of shadow mask due to external vibration, etc., between the periphery of the picture tube and shield or the holder of the picture tube. CONSTITUTION:The bare picture tube 1 is covered with a thickness of 0.8mm of the shield 8 of permalloy, for example, throughout its periphery in such a way that the shield 8 is separated from the picture tube 1. Also, the picture tube 1 is supported on the shield 8 by filling the elastic layer 9A of silicone resin, etc., between the funnel 3 and the neck 4 and the shield 8 in the picture tube 1. The elastic layer 9A is embraced with the elastic layer 9B of a lower hardness than the silicone resin 9A. Thus, vibration from fitted portion to the shield 8 is mostly absorbed in the elastic layers 9A and 9B and therefore the divergence of color due to vibration can be prevented. |
