<p>The modification is to a plate heating element. A copper sheathed electric heating element is soldered or brazed to the plate to be heated. The heating wire inside the copper sheathed element is surrounded by magnesium oxide. The modification is the reduction of the diameter of the heating element at its extremities to allow flexibility in the region of the element terminations if there is a need to alter the coil configuration, for example for remounting or usage in a different application. The heating element is suited to cooking appliances.</p> |
