<p>The fluid control valve has a plug bearing via a flexible sealing ring against a seat in a housing. A further ring of non-metallic material and resistant to high temp. forms a seal between plug and housing in the event of failure of the flexible one, so as to prevent flow of the medium. The material used for the further ring can be of graphite or other material not liable to seize, and resistant to temps. up to 600 degrees C. Pref. the flexible ring is made of a flurocarbon resin such as PTFE.</p> |
