Process for improving the energy efficiency of a reaction

In a plant for heating by burning fuel oil, the latter is mixed with water to which a surface-active agent has been added, and is then subjected, as it enters the combustion zone, to an electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range of 8800 MHz +/- 20 % at the same time as to an electrostatic field of 300 to 15,000 V. The energy efficiency of the combustion is thus improved.
