Provision is made for one person to sleep in peace, while another snores, reads or listens to music, in a shared bedroom. Compartments are connected by a bed window, linking two beds standing against the same wall. This is built into an opening in the partition (3), at bedheight, and can slide turn or swing. When opened, it links the bed, being held by a frame (4) and connected to the partition, which combines with the frame to provide a closed structural unit. The bottom frame edge can have padding (5) adjoining the mattresses (6, 7) adjustable height.
