The control unit (10) incorporating switching valves, thermostate, display instruments etc. has a one-piece housing or mounting plate (13) with a number of compartments (14) for receiving respective control modules (11, 12). The housing or mounting plate (13) also includes electrical and/or flow line connection terminals ( 19, 31, 33) for the control modules (11, 12) provided as screw-fitted or push-in modules. Pref. the control modules (11, 12) use magnetic valves (20) in combination with thermostats (21) and setting devices. The housing or mounting plate also carries an electrical control modules (26) coupled to a circulation pump (24) and a two-way valve (25).
