<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to remove calculus and dental calculus by smoothing the surface of a tooth by planing and to protect removement of tooth material by fitting a sharp edge with right angle in cross section positioned at facing both sides of a depressed part in a working area for the working area. CONSTITUTION: An axis 27 jointed to a reciprocal or rotary driving means at an end and drivable for the means, and a working portion 17 formed at the other end of the axis 27 and movable in the mouth and on the tooth surface of a patient are prepared. The work portion 17 has a sharp edges A, B positioned at faced both sides of a depressed portion 19 placed at the work portion 17 and held at a right angle in its section. One side of the edges A, B is placed in parallel with and in the same face as flat face and curved side face of the work portion 17, and the other side of the edges A, B is placed in a right angle to the same plane. As a result, the surface of a tooth can be smoothed by planing to remove calculus and dental calculus and to protect removing of tooth material.</p> |
