CERAMIC PACKAGE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A ceramic package and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reflect the light emitted to the side direction to a front side of the light emitting device by inserting a metal reflection ring to a penetration hole of a ceramic frame. An electrode pattern unit and a heat discharging pattern unit are formed in a ceramic substrate(100). A penetration hole(210) is formed in the center of a ceramic frame(200). The ceramic frame is arranged on the ceramic substrate. A reflection ring(300) includes an attachment surface attached to the inner side wall of the penetration hole of the ceramic frame. The reflection ring has an incline with a slope inclined downward. The reflection ring includes a bottom surface in parallel to the surface of the ceramic substrate. An insulating layer(400) is arranged between the bottom surface of the reflection ring and the ceramic substrate. A heat discharging connection unit(220) connects the reflection ring and the heat discharging pattern unit.
