Electrical safety cut=out for chain-driven conveyor - is responsive to chain breakage and uses inductive proximity switch coupled via timing element to relay

The conveyor has an electrical monitoring device for the cut-out of the drive upon breakage of the chain to prevent further damage. It uses an inductive proximity switch 20 or 30 mm. from the conveying elements and coupled via a timing element with a relay operating the cut-out switch in the current with a relay operating the cut-out switch in the current supply to the conveyor drive. Pref. the inductive proximity switch is enclosed by an insulating sleeve, in turn enclosed by an outer metal ring, both pref. projecting beying the surface of the inductive proximity switch facing the conveyor elements. Several proximity switches may be used, each located in the lower part of the machine frame.
