The hand tool prints and sticks labels into place, having a frame-type housing with a handle and an operating swinging lever. At the opposite handle end is an application roller, and a print roller on a support moves reciprocally in a guide, acting against a printing surface when it travels in one direction only. The labels are indexed over the surface, while the printing roller is clear of it, and are actuated by the lever via a feed mechanism. The reciprocating support (113) of the print roller (125) unit (101) has supporting wheels in contact with a guide (110) on one side for increased stability, and a support bearing engaging a long cylindrical guide (111) on the other side.
