PURPOSE:To display an image having a half tone of n-stages on the liquid crystal matrix panel, by controlling the clock pulse intervals of a shift register of n-1 bit. CONSTITUTION:At first, since all FFs are reset by an output CK1 of the reset pulse generator 21, its outputs tau7, tau6...tau1 become 0. Since an input (input of FF16 of the first stage) of the shift register is ''1'', tau7 becomes 1 by the first pulse of CK3 which is generated by the clock pulse generator 20. tau6 becomes 1 by the second clock pulse. After that, the pulse width modulation signals tau1, tau2...tau7 are obtained by repeating the same action. And the pulse width ratio of tau1, tau2...tau7 can be set at an optional value by deciding the pulse interval of the clock pulse CK3 at an optional value. |
