Octo tiamine (I)-contg. prepns. are improved by the addn. of antioxidants. (I) is used in oral applications as an antineuralgic with analgesic and antirheumatic properties. The presence of the antioxidants improves the stability of (I) in oral prepns. even in combination with other active ingredients such as phenylbutazone.
