PURPOSE:To prevent the rush current of the reactor and suppress the transient voltage at the time of closing the power source without increasing the loss in the steady state by providing a rapid charging circuit. CONSTITUTION:Rectifying elements 9 and 10 and a resistor 11 form a rapid charging circuit, and are inserted between the secondary side low pressue tap of a transformer 3 and the positive pole side of a capacitor 7, the secondary side low pressure tap being selected to be substantially 1/2<1/2> of the DC output voltage in the steady state. When a power source switch 2 is closed, the charging of the capacitor 7 is immediately carried out up to the crest value of the power source voltage of the rush charging circuit by the rapid charging circuit, and the voltages at both ends of the capacitor 7 reach substantially the vicinity of the DC output voltage of the steady state. By this procedure, the rush current of the reactor 6 is reduced. |
