PURPOSE:To improve a temperature characteristic, by making a groove or a hole in at least of one a composite type crystal resonator consisting of plural connected crystal resonators. CONSTITUTION:Holes are made in the vibrator arms 6a, 6b, respectively, and electrodes are provided in the vibrator arm and the hole side. And the electric field which is generated due to the fact that electrodes having different polarities are arrayed so as to face each other becomes a component which is parallel with the main surface of crystal. Since the width direction of the tuning fork crystal resonator conforms to not only the X orientation of the crystal axis but also the direction of the electric field, vibration of a satisfactory efficiency is caused. Furthermore, since the coefficient of coupling of electric machine can be raised owing to the foregoing, the vertex temperature of a characteristic of the frequency-temperature wefft. can be raised as the electromechanical coupling factor rises up. |
