A flexile coupling connecting the two shafts has two identical cone-shaped flexible members clamped by their inner edges to an inner sleeve by means of a clamping ring. The outer edges are clamped to the ends of an outer sleeve by a flange and a clamping ring. Any axial strain produced by the transmitted torque is balanced between the two flexible members and no axial forces are transmitted to the driving or driven shafts.
