<p>A fuel consumption meter for a heater is esp. for an oil-fired heating boiler in a single or two family house. It can accurately record the consumption of small quantities of the primary fuel. A total is made from products formed from the times when the heater consumes fuel and stipulated value. The latter depends upon the characteristics throughput of primary fuel in the periods of continuous throughput during these times. The characteristics throughput value depends, on or equals, the throughput rate of primary fuel during continuous throughput periods. Alternatively, it is the product of the characteristic throughput and the cost per unit quantity of the oil consumed.</p> |
