<p>A roof mounted bunk for a van has a pre-assembled frame shaped to fit the curvature of the roof and holding the frame for the bunk. A hinged roof covers the frame and is linked to the roof by hinges and flexible folding sides, and with folding struts on the frame. The pre-assembled frame is fitted after cutting access holes into the roof, without having to remove any roof bearing members (2a, 2c). It does not require strengthening of the vehicle body shell and can be fitted with a minimum of alteration, effort and without special tools.</p> |
