Relay contact spring setting - is controlled by spring hook and by lug of insulator block wall

Easier insertion of springs into the grooves of relay insulator block combined with lower cost of springs manufacture is ensured by the shape of springs. The latter have a hook tip in the opposite direction tothat of insertion so that practically no force is necessary for spring insertion. The hook provides a safeguard for correct location of the spring. The contact spring (1) bears against the sides of the groove (3) in the relay isolator block, while lug (22) in the side wall controls the longitudinal position of the spring.
