Locating different heat conductive regions in combined materials - uses external material heating and IR recording of heat radiation

The determn. of different thermal conductivity regions in combined and cpd. substances, such as concrete, etc. is important for constructional, technological and load calculating considerations. This is of partic. importance in reinforced concrete structures and in application of anchoring elements in concrete. For this purpose the substance is heated by an external source, and after sufficient heating the different reflecting thermal radiation in the infrared range is recorded on a suitable film or photographic plate. The photographic detection process is advantageous for the structural and technological consideration connected with static calculations. This permits to calculate the highest possible load requirements on specified connections partic. for applications in nuclear reactor structures and in chemical and petrochemical industry.
