PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform reconstitution of the system in a short time in case of fault, etc., by supplying a clock signal in the reserve transmission line at all times, in the loop type data transmission system having one pair of existing and reserve transmission lines. CONSTITUTION:The transmission devices 11-1n having clock generators 101- 10n, respectively are connected in a loop by the transmission lines L, L'. Each transmission device consists of one pair of line receivers 11n, 11n', one pair of line drivers 12n, 12n', a control part 13n and synchronous detection parts 14n, 14n'. The control part 13n monitors the transmission lines L, L', and controls as to how the units such as line receiver, line driver, clock generator, etc. are connected to the transmission lines L, L'. As for one of the transmission lines L and L', which is used as a reserve one, a clock signal is always supplied from itself or other transmission device and is operated with the units connected to this transmission line, therefore the whole system becomes a stable operation status in a short time after connection of the units has been changed in case of fault, etc. |
