PURPOSE:To accomplish a higher speed and a greater resolution of the printing along with the color application by joining a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzles formed thereon and the center of the surface of the base provided with ink passages equal in the number thereto to be communicated to each other. CONSTITUTION:When filling, ink is fully poured into the nozzle via the ink passage 4 and the communication hole 5 from the pressure chamber 6 with the ink feed tube connected to the ink feed port 7 provided on the base 3. When with the head full of the ink, a pulse voltage of about 100V is impulsively applied to the piezo- electric element 9 with the lead wire 8, the element 9 diametrically vibrates to cause a impact wave through the ink in the pressure chamber 6. The wave transmits to the nozzle 2 via the ink passage 4 and the communication path 5 to jet the ink at the tip of the nozzle 2. The ink thus jetted flles in drops due to its viscosity and surface tension. |
