Pyrimido (1,2a) heterocyclic compounds of the general formula in which the various groups R may be selected from a range of possible structures for example alkyl groups. Processes for the preparation of these compounds, including their resolution into optically active enantiomers, are also described. These compounds find use as antiphlogistics, and analgesics; they also inhibit blood platelet aggregation.
