Separating nested conical containers from continuous supply - by transfer gripper moving containers whilst retaining element holds rest

The mechanism separates a number of nested conical containers (3) from a series of such containers continuously supplied along a trough (2). It comprises a transfer grip (9) which is vertically movable (10) into engagement with the rim of one container and horizontally movable along a slide (11). A retaining leaf spring (4), is vertically movable (6) and has a hooked end (5) which may engage the rim of the container (3) behind the one engaged by the grip (9) whilst the latter moves in horizontal direction. The trough may consist of two parallel tubes (2).
