PURPOSE:To surely supply a workig liquid and to remove chips and a waste liquid, by providing a plurality of liquid chambers which communicate with the working gap between a working electrode and a workpiece and by controlling the changeover of some of the liquid chambers to a feed side and the others to a discharge side. CONSTITUTION:A numerical controller 28 detects the motion component of a working electrode from information on a tape 27 and applies a detection signal to a jet direction changer 21. The changer determines a jet direction from the signal and controls the opening and closing of solenoid valves 25a-25d, 26a-26d. Feed and discharge pipes 22a-22d and liquid chambers 12a-12d are divided into an ejection and a discharge groups. For example, a working jet introduced into the liquid chamber 12a has its pressure made uniform therein, enters the working gap c, flows into the other liquid chambers 12b-12d and is discharged through the liquid pipes 14b-14d. According to this constitution, the working liquid once enters a closed liquid chamber, has its pressure made uniform and is efficiently ejected into the working gap without uselessness. Therefore, abnormal working does not take place. |
