The mixture of sulfide minerals and flux is continuously smelted by proper amount of air and fuel in the smelting furnace(1) as the first process, and matte and slag are formed. The matte is separated from slag in the separating furnace(2) and the ferrous or the sulfur com. In the matte is oxidized, and white metal and blister copper as the productions of the second process are formed in the converter(3). The matte and slag in three steps above are transported in the molten conditions, and the slag in the converter is solidified and crushed, and then the smelting furnace is continuously charged with the crushed slag and the raw materials.
