PURPOSE:To obtain easily a desired Q value even in a multi-cavity resonator of a high operating frequency, by joining previously metallic pieces different in conductivity to form cavity resonator materials and by processing these materials into a cavity resonator shape by machine tools. CONSTITUTION:Metallic pieces 1 and 2 different in conductivity are joined by solder material 3 to form cavity resonator materials 4. Materials 4 are subjected to a mechanical process into a desired shape of a cavity resonator by machine tools. In this case, materials are so selected at the mechanical process that the joint face of metals 1 and 2 may be partition A-A' of the cavity resonator. Consequently, complicated cavity resonator such as a multi-cavity klystron of a high operating frequency can be produced easily due to combination of the number of metallic pieces different in conductivity and their kinds, and the Q value of individual cavity resonators can be set to a desired value simply. |
