A cultivating device for plows which is formed without a so-called land side, and thus creates a selfbalancing effect on the tool, which thereby can be moved forwards with only slight resistance. The cultivating device for the plow is so constructed and arranged to create a turning moment about the connecting point to a towing vehicle with the turning moment determining the working width of the tool.
