The invention relates to a self-supporting roof element made of profiled plates and insulating material and a roof construction incorporating these elements. The longitudinal edges of the roof element are constituted by Z-profiles 1 having a step 2 directed inwards towards the element and its transverse faces are covered by plating 10, 11. Resting on the steps 2 are the ends of transverse hat profiles 8, which, in turn, support the outer roofing 9. The lower flanges 3 of the Z-profiles 1 support the inner roofing 7. The element is filled with insulating material 12, 13. The roof construction is composed of such roof elements and over the longitudinal joints are placed insulating boards 21 covered by wide hat profiles 22. The roof elements are used in connection with large span widths. The roof construction acquires the same good heat-insulating capacity as the individual roof elements. <IMAGE> |
