A three-phase tap-changing switching device immersed in a body of oil separate from the body of oil in which the transformer is immersed that is connected to, and cooperates with, the switching device. The tap-changing switching device includes an oil-tight substantially cylindrical sub-housing effecting a separation of the oil space of the transformer from the oil space o f the switching device. Said sub-housing is arranged within ? housing proper having a flanged lateral opening that contains a lattice structure supporting the ends of the conductors conductively interconnecting said transformer and the terminal o f said tap-changing switching device.
