PURPOSE:To improve the toner parting property from the roll surface and extend the service life of the roll, by impregnating silicone oil into heat press vulcanizing type silicone rubber or fluorosilicone rubber of heat fixing roll under heated state. CONSTITUTION:Silicone rubber of dimethyl polysiloxane compound and an inorganic filler are compounded and mixed and kneaded base, and treated in an extrusion press, for example, at 170 deg.C for 15 minutes, and extruded to obtain a tubular object, which is inserted into a core. This assembly is, after being vulcanized, treated at 200 deg.C for 12hrs., and then polished. After dipping in methyl silicone oil at 200 deg.C for 72hrs., the outside diameter is finished by polishing. Thus obtained heat fixing roll for electronic copier excels in the toner parting property and has an exceptionally long service life to maintain the sharpness of the copy image. |
