PURPOSE:To reduce the read miss frequency of narrow lines of a picture and make it possible to transmit read information in a high speed, by using read pulses to sample the picture signal obtained from a self-scan type photoelectric conversion element array. CONSTITUTION:Self-scan clock pulse (b) is always output from generator 4; and when self-scan type photoelectric conversion element array PDA2 reaches a prescribed main scanning position, read start pulse (a) is output from generator 3. Pulses (a) and (b) drive RDA2 through driver 5, and video signals are output successively from PDA2 synchronously with pulse (b) and are converted to binary data in 7 and are supplied to gate 10 and FF 9 as picture signal (c). Meanwhile, pulse (a) is divided by frequency divider 8 to obtain pulse (d) of the half of pulse (b), and picture signal (c) is sampled by pulse (d), and, for example, odd picture signal (e) is applied to gate 10, and the OR output between odd and even picture signals is obtained from gate 10. |
